Why You Need to Visit (and Taste) Sarah Bunton’s Chocolates
Perched over a dramatic gorge in the Cambrian Mountains, Devil’s Bridge is not only famous for the legend of a clever woman who outsmarted the Devil by sending a dog across his bridge to save her own soul, but also for being the location of the award-winning chocolatier Sarah Bunton. Today, this mystical site features three unique bridges stacked on top of one another, offering a fairy-tale backdrop for the artisan chocolate workshop of Sarah Bunton, tucked away in the misty Welsh hills of Aberystwyth. Here you can take in the crisp mountain air, the sound of the steam railway, and the unmistakably delicious aroma of melting chocolate from the Award Winning artisan chocolatier, Sarah Bunton.
Award Winning Chocolatier
Sarah Bunton has been hand-crafting luxury chocolates in this beautiful corner of Mid-Wales since 2009, with the simple goal of combining traditional Welsh ingredients with modern chocolate-making techniques.
Sarah’s journey into the world of chocolate began by hiring out chocolate fountains to fund her university studies, before she realised her passion and specialised in creating artisan chocolates and fudge. Sarah blends classic chocolate-making techniques with authentic Welsh flavours like Merlyn Liqueur and Welsh Honey. This commitment to her craft has earned her 15 Great Taste Awards and prestigious True Taste accolades, cementing her reputation for excellence.
